2010 Macau Series III Silver Tiger Coin
Macao Lunar Commemorative Series:
Applauded for its presentation, the new series (2008-2019) of commemorative Lunar coins presents the Chinese almanac animals with a modern touch on the obverse. On the reverse, a different design is depicted each year to best represent Macao- the 12 selected heritage sites of Macao. These twelve selected heritage sites are inscribed in the World Heritage list by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Each site vividly epitomizes the glorious culture and rich heritage of Macao in its own unique way.
The 2010 features a crouching Tiger against pine trees with dazzling colors. The evergreen pine which is a frequent object in Chinese paintings represents longevity and steadiness and is regarded as one of the most revered of all plants.
A total of 6,000 pieces were to be minted. The coin is struck by the Singapore Mint and distributed by the Mint and the Macao Monetary Authority.
The Macau 2010 silver Tiger is a great coin for both the collector as well as investor. We wish all parties to be satisfied with their trades. The coin is in excellent condition and should grade accordingly.
