Design of the coin:

Obverse Design:

The 5oz round gold coin obverse displays the lettering Macau 10,000 PATACAS with a Macau/CHINA Junket ship inner ring.

Reverse Design:

The gold coin reverse displays the lettering  GRANDE PRÉMIO  MACAU with the inner ring displaying the Formula Grand Prix car and driver with XXXV ANIVERSÁRIO 1954-1988

Specifications and mintage of the coin:

The coin is proof in quality, 66mm in diameter, 10,000 Patacas in face value, 99.9% in fineness, and contains 155.5 grams (5oz)  of pure gold. The total mintage is 500 pieces.

The Gold Anniversary coin is minted by The Royal Mint.
