Obverse design:

The obverse of the coin depicts the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests (The Temple of Heaven), the title of the People’s Republic of China and the year date;

Reverse design:

The reverse features the Giant Panda balanced on a tree branch, as well as the Chinese and English words of “VISIT CHINA ‘ 97” and the face value of 10Y.

Specifications and mintage of the coin:

The silver commemorative coin is BU in quality, 10 Yuan in face value, 39 mm in diameter, 99.9% in fineness and contains 31.10 grams of pure silver. The total mintage is 50,000 pieces.
