Design of the Coins:

Obverse Design:
The obverse of the Britannia 2 Pounds 1oz Silver Coin 2012 features a floating image of the Britannia holding a trident in her right hand symbolizing her willingness to fight and in the opposed hand is also an opposed symbol, an olive branch. The helmet on her head recollects of her Roman origins. The legend present on the head side of the Britannia 2 Pounds 1oz Silver Coin 2012 reads BRITANNIA, 2012 the issuing year, ONE OUNCE FINE SILVER the purity and weight.

Reverse Design:
The reverse features a portrait facing right of Queen Elizabeth II. it was realized by Ian Rank-Broadley. The inscriptions on the tail side of the Britannia 2 Pounds 1oz Silver Coin 2012 are ELIZABETH II, D G REG, FID DEF, and at the bottom the face value 2 POUNDS.
