The People’s Bank of China is to issue a set of 2020 Chinese Panda gold and silver commemorative coins on October 30th 2019. The set consists of 12 coins, including 6 gold and silver bullion coins and 6 gold and silver proof coins, all of which are the legal tender of the People’s Republic of China.

Design of the coin:

The 30g Gold coins bear the common obverse of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests (The Temple of Heaven), the title of the People’s Republic of China and the year date; the common reverse of the coins depicts a panda eating the bamboos, face value and the fineness.

The 30g round gold coin is bullion in quality, 32 mm in diameter, 500 Yuan in face value, 99.9% in fineness and contains 30 grams of pure gold. The maximal mintage is 1,000,000 pieces.

The 30g coins are minted by Shenzhen Guobao Mint, Shanghai Mint and Shenyang Mint respectively, and solely distributed by China Gold Coin Incorporation.
