Design of the coin:

The 30g Gold coins bear the common obverse of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests (The Temple of Heaven), the title of the People’s Republic of China and the year date; The common reverse features two young pandas skiing down a snowy hill along with the face value, weight, and fineness. The 40th anniversary privy mark appears on left of the playful cubs. The designer of this reverse coin is Ms. Huang Qin. Ms. Gin is a notable numismatic designer with many Chinese commemorative coins to her credit.

The 30g round gold coin is bullion in quality, 32 mm in diameter, 500 Yuan in face value, 99.9% in fineness and contains 30 grams of pure gold. The maximal mintage is 1,000,000 pieces.
