I. Design of the coins
i. Obverse design
The 2013 Chinese Sacred Buddhist Mountain (Mount Putuo) Gold & Silver Commemorative Coins bear the common obverse of the National Emblem of the People’s Republic of China, the title of P.R.C. and the year date.
ii. Reverse design
The reverse of 1/4oz gold coin depicts the statue of Willow Branch Guanyin against the image of auspicious clouds and ocean waves, the words “Willow Branch Guanyin, Mount Putuo” in Chinese and the face value.
The reverse of 2oz silver coin features the image of Puji Temple and the design of ocean waves, the words “Puji Temple, Mount Putuo” in Chinese and the face value.
II. Specifications and mintage of the coins
1/4oz gold coin is proof in quality, 22mm in diameter, 100 Yuan in face value, 99.9% in fineness and contains 1/4troy ounce of pure gold. The total mintage is 60,000 pieces.
2oz silver coin is proof in quality, 40 mm in diameter, 20 Yuan in face value, 99.9% in fineness and contains 2 troy ounces of pure silver. The total mintage for each is 100,000 pieces.
III. The set of gold and silver commemorative coin is minted by Shenzhen Guobao Mint Co., Ltd and solely distributed by China Gold Coin Incorporation.
